Product Description

Gray cast iron is not the best choice where strong impact forces are likely. Gray iron is brittle. A hard, wear-resistant surface is more susceptible to breaking than a dent - which is a good feature in some installations, including many grates, where dents can trap water and cause pitting. This behavior can be disconcerting in situations where impact is likely. Ductile iron is not common in grates, but is used in applications where grates need to provide the impact resistance of steel while still having the shine and aesthetics of cast iron.

Ductile iron gully grating is made from spherical graphite cast iron (ductile iron) by machine moulding or hand moulding, flat top, without hinge. Very good quality, smooth and free from sand holes, blow holes, distortion or any othe defects. Loading capacity is 25 tons. We also have BSI certificate, also can put the kite mark in gully grating.
 
Clear opening size is 190X190/280X280/380X380/480X480/570X570mm.The normal coating is black bitumen 50 microns thickness, also can make the epoxy coating according to the customer's demand.
